Adige Stands & Adler APTC (slipper) Clutches for Ducati
Friday, April 24th, 2009We are excited to announce that we are now offering Adige aluminum stands and Adler APTC (slipper) clutches through our online store: www.store.commoto.com
Adler APTC (Adler Power Torque Clutch) slipper clutch supplied to us by Adige to fit all Dry clutch Ducati models. There is a distinction between the 1098/1198 and the rest of the Ducati lineup and different plates are supplied for models prior to 2002 due to the use of steel for the clutch basket rather than aluminum. Here are some of the features that make this clutch of interest to us as well as links to the listings on our online store. They do make this clutch for most off road bikes and it the official clutch offered by KTM hard parts. Also notable is that Adler supplies this clutch to NCR racing factory so you can expect it to be among the best.
We’ve got special introductory pricing going on right now so create an account to see your price!

50% less clutch pull -
Other slipper clutches have higher than standard clutch spring load. There is no need for a (aftermarket) slave cylinder with this setup!
NO clutch lever vibration -
You won’t be able to tell that the APTC mechanism is working… no funky vibrations through the lever like you get with most other slipper clutches.
No special tools required (that aren’t included) -
This clutch is easily installable with standard mechanics tools.
Adjustability -
Included are 3 sets of shims to adjust the amount of engine braking that you desire. Very detailed setup instructions are included too so you aren’t left in the dark. We are available for setup help as well or we’ll install it for you here at the shop.
How it works -
This clutch uses a double hub design with helix profile using 4 opening springs and 4 closing springs. Most slippers use 6 ball bearings on ramps and the single inner hub which moves on the ball bearings. This requires periodic disassemble and lubrication. Not a bad design or function, but we believe this clutch design to be superior due to the design, ease of adjustability, lack of maintenance required and very high quality craftsmanship.
Adige Rear Stands:
The other new item we are super excited about is the Adige tig welded, laser cut, aluminum plate Ducati rear stands. Available in several models.
The first to fit all Ducati single sidede swing arm bikes besides the 1098/1198 and Streetfighter and it is reversible so it can be used to take off the rear wheel or change sprockets. Click here for the VS-1.The next stand fits the same models, but it is not reversible. Click here for the VS-2.
The next stand is deisgned to work with 749/999 models that utilize spools. Click here for the VS-3. And then the version for non-spool using 749/999 models. Click here for the VS-4.
Lastly (and probably my favorite item!) is the Universal Footrest Race Stands which support the motorcycle from underneath any solid mount foot pegs. Click here for the VS-7.
